How to Register for an Event/Training

  1. Log in with your membership details. Online registration is for Full Season Members only. There are some events that do not require online registration, so just read the event description or contact our bookings co-ordinator for more details. (Bookings@londonbeachvolleyball.org)
  2. Find the event/session you are interested in by clicking on the date in the calendar on the left or by finding the category you are interested in, click 'Show Events', than click on the event/session title
  3. Register for the event - first read the details of the event/session (registration start/close date, description). At the bottom of the page tick the box next to 'I will go to this event', and click register.
  4. To cancel your registration for an event/session: Log in, Find the event you registered for, tick the box next to 'Cancel your registration for this event' and click cancel registration. (do so before the registration close time, usually 1 - 2 hours before club sessions)
  5. Waitlist - once all the places on a session are taken you can place yourself on the waitlist. You will move up to the main list automaticallyif anyone cancels. You won't receive an email about this, so please keep on checking the page. Once registration has closed on the day of the session, you will be able to see if you made the main list or not.
  6. In case of heavy rain and bad weather conditions, your session organiser will post a comment below your particular session to let you know whether the training will go ahead or might need to be cancelled. Again, you will not receive a confirmation email or similar and therefore, please check the website 1 hour before the session. Thank you!
  7. If someone has signed up for more than one of the Tuesday and Thursday training sessions they will be asked to unregister even if one of these registrations is on the waiting list. The trainer will decide which session you should attend based on your level of play. If you have never trained with LBVC before you are asked to come to the early sessions (18:00 to 19:30). Do NOT sign up for more than one session on one day. If there is still space on the day you can sign up for a second session.

League Rules

Competition format:

Each division will consist of up to 6 teams, and involve a round robin series of matches followed by a Finals evening. The top 4 players from each division will compete in the Finals.

Teams will have 2 matches per evening, and will not play every Monday. Select your preferred weeks for a "bye" when entering the league.

For this competition, matches are timed. Each match will take 30 min, including 3 x 7min sets.

The team with the most points at the end of each set wins the set. If both teams have the same points at the end of the time, the set will continue with one tie-break rally being played. The team who wins the most sets wins the match.

The ranking of teams at the end of the pool round is based on:
Number of matches won.
Number of sets won
For / Against points ratio.
The team that won the pool match between the 2 teams still tied.
