How to Register for an Event/Training

  1. Log in with your membership details. Online registration is for Full Season Members only. There are some events that do not require online registration, so just read the event description or contact our bookings co-ordinator for more details. (Bookings@londonbeachvolleyball.org)
  2. Find the event/session you are interested in by clicking on the date in the calendar on the left or by finding the category you are interested in, click 'Show Events', than click on the event/session title
  3. Register for the event - first read the details of the event/session (registration start/close date, description). At the bottom of the page tick the box next to 'I will go to this event', and click register.
  4. To cancel your registration for an event/session: Log in, Find the event you registered for, tick the box next to 'Cancel your registration for this event' and click cancel registration. (do so before the registration close time, usually 1 - 2 hours before club sessions)
  5. Waitlist - once all the places on a session are taken you can place yourself on the waitlist. You will move up to the main list automaticallyif anyone cancels. You won't receive an email about this, so please keep on checking the page. Once registration has closed on the day of the session, you will be able to see if you made the main list or not.
  6. In case of heavy rain and bad weather conditions, your session organiser will post a comment below your particular session to let you know whether the training will go ahead or might need to be cancelled. Again, you will not receive a confirmation email or similar and therefore, please check the website 1 hour before the session. Thank you!
  7. If someone has signed up for more than one of the Tuesday and Thursday training sessions they will be asked to unregister even if one of these registrations is on the waiting list. The trainer will decide which session you should attend based on your level of play. If you have never trained with LBVC before you are asked to come to the early sessions (18:00 to 19:30). Do NOT sign up for more than one session on one day. If there is still space on the day you can sign up for a second session.

Joss Bay BeachFest by London Beach Volleyball Club

12 - 13 June, 2010

With over 50 participants, Joss Bay BeachFest by London Beach Volleyball Club proved a great weekend of competition.

The open 4-a-side competition was hotly contested, and while the referees appointed to the event hoped for “Ref’s Revenge”, they were taken out of the competition by the “Sand Witches”, who finished the day in 3rd place.

Vouchers for free surf lessons from Joss Bay Surf School were taken home by the winners, “TDC Sport Matters”, who won a closely fought Final against “Waikiki Beach”.

The men’s 2-a-side competition was won by Davide Grandolfo and Bero Bobus, who took home a London Beach Volleyball Club Hoodie each. They had to work hard in the Final to beat Tomek Lasocki and Dominik Peksa. Christoph Datler and Lloyd Lee took third place from Juan-Carlos Rodriguez and Laurent Peacock.

Gabi Medricka and Frances Pinero also took home LBVC hoodies after beating Petra Jurikova and Tereza Hejretova in the women’s 2-a-side Final. Katja Gless and Katarina Zajacova prevailed over Dorle Schreiber and Agne Skirmontaite to take third place.

Goodie Bags from Action for Kids were presented to the Referees and to the runners up in all Saturday competitions.

A full list of results is available here.

The Saturday evening BBQ proved popular with players, who enjoyed a relaxed meal on the beach in the afternoon sun before heading back to the campsite.

Sunday saw players randomly allocated to 3-a-side teams in a casual round robin competition,
